Bill Audits & Recovery

A close review of your bills that catches errors and recovers the money.

Big recurring bills are easy to pay without ever reading closely, and errors hide in them for years. We go through your bills line by line, looking for overcharges and mistakes that are quietly costing you. When we find one, we go back to the utility or vendor to get it corrected and to recover what you were overcharged. You keep paying what you should and stop paying what you should not, and because we are paid from what we save you, there is no risk in letting us look.

  • We read your bills line by line, not just the total
  • We flag overcharges and errors that have been adding up
  • We go back to the provider to correct them and recover the money
  • We are paid from what we save you, so the review carries no risk

What we find

What this looks for in your bills

  • 01

Estimated reads billed as actual usage, and charges for service you are not using

  • 02

Duplicate or incorrect charges, plus the wrong rate or service class for your account

  • 03

Incorrect taxes and fees, and exemptions that expired or were never applied

  • 04

Past overcharges that can be recovered, and missed rebates or grants worth pursuing

How it works

From your first bill to real savings

We gather your recent bills and check them against a structured library of common billing errors and savings opportunities, so the review is thorough rather than a quick glance. Where something looks wrong, we dig in to confirm it instead of guessing. Once we are sure, we take it back to the utility or vendor, make the case, and push to get the charge corrected and the overpayment returned. We keep you posted as we go, and we stay on each item until it is resolved. Since our fee comes out of what we recover, the review costs you nothing up front.

In depth

Common questions, answered

How often are bills actually wrong?

More often than most owners would guess. Large recurring bills are complicated, they change over time, and almost no one reads them closely once the autopay is set up. That is exactly where errors live: charges for service that is no longer used, fees that should have dropped off, and mistakes that repeat quietly month after month. None of it is usually deliberate. It is the result of complex billing and no one paying close attention. We are the ones who pay attention, which is why a careful review so often turns something up.

What happens when you find an error?

We confirm it first, so we are standing on solid ground. Then we go back to the utility or vendor on your behalf, lay out what is wrong, and push to get it fixed. Where the rules allow, we also work to recover what you were overcharged in the past, not just correct it going forward. We handle the back-and-forth with the provider so you do not have to sit on hold or chase anyone. We keep you updated and stay with each item until it is settled.

Is there any cost or risk to having you review our bills?

No upfront cost and no risk. When the savings come from a bill you already pay, our fee comes out of what we save you, so we only get paid when you do. If we look and find nothing worth pursuing, you have spent nothing. That is the whole point of the model: you have no reason not to let us look, because the only way we earn anything is by putting money back in your pocket first. You stay in control and decide what to act on.

Find out what you could be paying instead.

Send us one recent bill from any account, electric, gas, water, telecom, or IT. A close look at it is usually enough to tell you whether there is real savings on the table, through a grant, a better rate, a billing error, or the right product. The review is free.
